Gregg Simpson, founder of the Simpson Steel Building Company, in 1993 developed a patented steel truss to replace the wooden structure of pole barns. Since then he has been making and selling steel building to delighted customers nationwide.
Simpson Steel Building Company steel buildings are custom-designed for each customer’s unique layout needs. Every building is made according to the Metal Building Manufacturer’s Association’s strict quality and safety standards, using only the highest grade commercial components.
The standard Simpson Steel Building Company building is engineered to take a 20 pound snow load and to withstand an 80 MPH wind; stronger buildings can be made simply by increasing the amount of frame elements in the design.
Steel frame truss buildings can be as wide as 40’ and as tall as 16’. Steel trusses are so strong that these buildings can have trusses with as much as 20’ of separation, allowing a very large building with only modest framing elements. All Simpson Steel Building Company buildings come in kit form, with an erection manual and easy-to-read, professionally-done drawings. Kits also include anchor bolt plans to make assembly a snap.
Simpson Steel Building Company buildings come with all bolts and screws, and all the roof and wall panels have a 20-year warranty which covers fading, rusting, peeling, or cracking. Panels are pre-cut meaning that you can assemble your building easily and quickly without having to do on-site cutting work in most cases. The roofing panels are truly superior products, made of 26 gauge Galvalume+, which has an acrylic coating applied over an aluminized coating applied over the already galvanized steel panel, providing a shiny appearance and incredible durability.
Simpson Steel Building Company buildings come in 15 standard colors and come completely trimmed, with sculptured gables, eaves, corner and base trim, and jamb and head trim as well. Buildings are shipped directly to the job site.
Simpson Steel Building Company also produces mini storage buildings and custom-designed rigid frame buildings. Mini storage buildings are designed on a 5×5 grid with simple storage plans to make it easy to create the mini storage facility for your specific needs.
