Most veterinary offices have one or at most two veterinarians, but Avenues Pet Hospital has five doctors of veterinary medicine on staff, ensuring that every specialty and discipline is covered. Dr. Scott Anderson received his DVM degree from Ohio State University and has owned Avenues Pet Hospital since 1976. He was the chairman of the San Francisco Animal Control and Welfare Commission from 1981 to 1988 and is a consultant at the University of California at San Francisco department of laboratory medicine. Dr. Richard Schwach earned his DVM from Michigan State University and completed a surgical residency at Colorado State University. He is a specialist in orthopedic and general animal surgery and has been with Avenues Pet Hospital since 1977, and a co-owner since 1983.

Dr. Shari O’Neill earned her DVM from the Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine. She specializes in emergency medicine and has done residency in small animal clinics. Dr. Brandy Vickers earned her DVM from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she worked with birds of prey. She is a specialist in animal dentistry and pain management, and joined Avenues Pet Hospital in 2005. Dr. Greg Bogatsky earned his DVM from the University of California – Davis, and is a native of the San Francisco area. He is a fluent Russian speaker and always happy to help pet owners who speak Russian.

All of the clinicians at Avenues Pet Hospital are committed to providing the highest possible caliber of small animal care. The Hospital serves dogs and cats only, and focuses their discipline and education on caring for these special pets. No matter what your veterinary health need for your dog or cat, the compassionate and highly-trained veterinarians of Avenues Pet Hospital will do an outstanding job of providing the finest in veterinary care and service.
