Eugene J. Cherny, M.D., F.A.C.S., is the director of Heartland Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He studied medicine at Rush Medical College in Chicago and has practiced in Des Moines since 1989. He has been named three times as one of “America’s Top Surgeons” by the Consumers Research Council of America, and is a professor of surgery at Des Moines University. Dr. Cherny served as a surgeon in the US Army and has conducted numerous medical mission trips to Honduras and El Salvador, performing complex pediatric reconstructive surgeries to impoverished children.

 

Heartland Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery provides a wide array of cosmetic and reconstructive therapies, and specialize in breast augmentation, facelift, brachioplasty (arm lift), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), brow lifts, Botox treatment, and laser skin treatment. The newest service at Heartland Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is the arrival of Prevelle, an injectable treatment that fills out and smooths lips, nasolabial folds, frown lines, and marionette lines. Prevelle lasts for three to four months.
