Martin B. Weiss MD is one of the leading providers of plastic surgery in the Boston metro area. Dr. Weiss is a graduate of Northwestern University and completed his medical studies at the University of Massachusetts. In additional to general surgery, Dr. Weiss’ studies also include plastic surgery at Presbyterian Medical Center and craniofacial surgery at the Clinique Belvedere in Paris, France. Dr. Weiss has also studied and worked in the field of hand surgery.
Dr. Weiss is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Tufts University School of Medicine. In the past, he has served as Medical Staff President and Credentials Committee Chairman at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Currently, Dr. Weiss maintains membership in several professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
He is joined in his practice by Kathleen Nash, RN, who heads up the clinic’s new Skin Rejuvenation program. Ms. Nash is trained in the application of several advanced skin care treatments that include microdermabrasion, chemical peels, sclerotherapy and laser hair and vein removal. Recently, Ms. Nash became certified to offer the Regenique program, a new non-surgical technique for removing wrinkles, reduction of visible scars and overall toning and tightening. Dr. Weiss’ clinic is the only facility in the Boston Metro area that is certified to offer this innovative treatment. Ms. Nash offers a complimentary skin care evaluation for new patients.
Major surgical procedures offered by Dr. Weiss include breast augmentation, lift and reduction and ear, eyelid and nose surgery. Dr. Weiss and his staff continue to take continuing education courses and seminars in order to keep up with the latest surgical techniques. Hygiene and safety is also a priority at this practice; however, because any surgical process involves some amount of risk, Dr. Weiss insists on a full physical examination and medical history for all new patients, as well as a thorough discussion and understanding of a patient’s motivation for seeking such surgery before consenting to perform a procedure.
