Gentle Dentistry bills itself as "one of the most advanced dental practices in the state of New Jersey."
The practice itself has been in existence since the early 1960s; many staff members have worked there for at least 25 of those years. Gentle Dentistry is in fact a full-service, comprehensive practice with four dentists in residence, each of whom brings a unique skill set to the practice.
Dr. Michael Migdal received his DDS from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1984, and completed his training in dental implantology in 1995. Dr. Migdal was Clinical Associate Professor at NYU where he taught courses in surgical and restorative dentistry for four years. Today, Dr. Migdal is a Fellow of both the Academy of General Dentistry and The International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Andrew Spector is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and is certified in Full Mouth Rehabilitation as well as implantology. In addition to being a Fellow of the Academy of Computerized Dentistry and a member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Spector is the founder of the Contemporary Implant Study Club.
Endodontics is a dental specialty dealing with the interior of the tooth, including the pulp, nerves and tissues around the root. Dr. Alexandr Iofin is one of the few dentists who work in this highly specialized branch of dental science. He completed his endodontic studies at the NYU College of Dentistry. In addition to his work at Gentle Dentistry, Dr. Iofin is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the Columbia University College of Dental and Oral Surgery.
Dr. Jennifer Hade, DMD, is the newest member of the Gentle Dentistry staff, and is responsible for general dental treatments and preventive care.
Gentle Dentistry offers patients the latest treatments using the most advanced equipment, including "micro dentistry." This exciting new technique has eliminated the need for drilling in many cases, as an abrasive powder can now be used in order to remove small areas of the tooth surface where necessary. This "no-drill & no needle" method has removed the pain and discomfort from many dental procedures.
Gentle Dentistry also offers many exceptional amenities for its patients, including a play room for children, personal video entertainment for adults and free coffee in the waiting room.
