glaucomaconsultantsnorthwest_com.jpgWe tend to take our eyes for granted. When they work well, we simply accept the fact that we have great vision, and rarely do we give it a second thought. That is, until our vision starts to become compromised due to glaucoma, cataracts, or other eye conditions. Then, every time we try to read or perform other ordinary tasks, we realize how much we took our good vision for granted. The doctors and staff at Glaucoma Consultants Northwest have come together to bring you the highest quality glaucoma care available in the Seattle area. Their compassion for you and your eye care needs, along with the progressive and advanced eye care they offer, is why patients turn to them to care for their precious vision.

These highly qualified doctors bring their expertise to bear upon every patient’s treatment. Dr. Johnstone studied at Washington University and Harvard medical schools, and he was a Harvard Teaching Fellow in Ophthalmology, where he received subspecialty training in glaucoma, as well as training in glaucoma-related complicated cataracts. For many years he was on the faculty at the University of Washington and University of Kentucky Departments of Ophthalmology, after which he returned to private practice with us. He currently holds the office of Director of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a delegate to the American Board of Medical Specialties.
