Located in the beautiful Monterey Bay community of , Dr. John A. Van Every’s clinic is a full-service optometric facility which offers comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and injuries, a full line of vision aids that include contact lenses and specialty lenses, and Laser Vision correction. The clinic also offers retail frames as well as frame adjustment and repairs.
The Van Every Clinic stays on the cutting edge of optometric services; office equipment currently includes the latest technology such as the Digital Retinal Camera which eliminates the need to dilate the eyes, and the Z-View Abberometer, which measures the eyes for prescription, providing the most accurate vision diagnosis possible while determining if a patient is a suitable candidate for the new iZon Hi-Definition lenses.
Dr. Van Every’s office is in fact the first optometry practice in Santa Cruz County authorized to carry the iZON wavefront-guided lenses. These state-of-the-art lenses are manufactured to order and are based on a level of diagnostic detail of the individual that has not been possible before now. In addition to standard and iZON glasses, Dr. Every is able to create lenses that are specific to certain occupations, including those that involve several hours per day in front of a computer monitor. Dr. Every offers his patients specials on disposable contact lenses when ordered in bulk as well as a referral incentive of $25 for every new patient, good toward the purchase of new glasses or contacts.
Dr. Van Every’s website offers an extensive collection of articles on various eye-care issues that can be downloaded. These educational articles offer virtually the entire range of subjects in optometry ranging from anatomy of the eye to basic vision care, and include topics such as nutrition and the proper selection of sunglasses. With three decades’ worth of experience in his field serving the Monterey Bay area community, Dr. John Van Every OD graduated from the Berkeley School of Optometry.
He has been certified by the TPA and maintains membership in the California Optometric Association. Dr. Van Every’s offices are open from 8 AM until 5 PM Monday through Thursday and Fridays between 8 AM and 4 PM; the office is closed on Wednesday between noon and 1:30 PM.
