Levine Eye Center

The Levine Eye Center is a premier optometry facility in Rutherford, where professional optometrists do a lot more than just eyeglasses. The doctors of the Levine Eye Center are trained experts who have a commitment to total optical health, using a combination of the most up-to-date technology and the most old-fashioned personal care and service. The Center is a family-oriented medical practice that focuses on building personal one-on-one relationships with all their clients.

 

The Levine Eye Center was founded by Dr. Marie Levine, a New Jersey native who graduated from Montclair State College in 1975 and who started a career as a public school teacher before attending the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Levine is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP), as well as Vision USA, the volunteer program providing optic health services to low-income families.

 

Dr. Levine’s expertise is bolstered by her partnership with Dr. Diane Adamczyk, also a New Jersey local, who attended Villanova University and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Adamczyk is also an associate professor at New York College of Optometry, and is the author of Primary Eye Care and Systemic Disease, a well-regarded optometry text. Dr. Adamczyk literally wrote the book on taking care of your eyes!

 

The Levine Eye Center provides comprehensive eye exams, fitting and prescriptions for glasses, contact lenses, and bifocals, treatment for eye infections and eye trauma (for example, removing foreign bodies in the eye), consultations for laser eye surgery, childhood eyesight evaluation for developmental concerns, and to top it all off, an on-site eyeglass store with a great selection. There’s nothing that the Levine Eye Center can’t do for your eyes!

 

One important focus of the Levine Eye Center is helping children who are struggling with learning disorders. As many as 60% of kids with learning problems in school have some sort of vision problem – during the early years of school, visual education is an extremely important part of the learning process and kids whose eyes aren’t working properly are at a severe disadvantage. The professionals at the Levine Eye Center are expert in assessing vision problems in children, and providing real solutions to these issues.
