The John J. Fox Funeral Home is a full service mortuary and funeral services company located on the historic Boston Post Road in Larchmont, New York. Founded in 1893, the current director, Edward J. Fox is the great-grandson of the original proprietor and has been a licensed funeral director for over a quarter of a century.

 

For the past 120 years, the staff members of the John J. Fox Funeral Home have been experts in many funeral traditions and have served families of all faiths in their time of bereavement. As well as conducting traditional funerals of all types, the people of the John J. Fox Funeral Home can provide alternatives that include direct burial or cremation, and can make funeral arrangements in advance.

 

Mr. Fox’s colleagues have over sixty years of combined experience in the funeral business. Members of the John J. Fox staff include Anthony Grieg, a licensed funeral director for fifteen years and employed by the Fox establishment since 1998; John Sinatra, son of a funeral director and licensed in the field since 1971; and John Scholl, the newest staff member, having joined in 1999.

 

The John J. Fox Funeral Home is normally open between the hours of 9 A.M. and 5 P.M., seven days a week. When there is visiting in the evening, the establishment is open until 9 P.M. As the staff may be out at times during the day, they recommend calling before stopping by. If no-one is available to take the call, the business does have a 24-hour answering service who can reach any of them at any time. Telephone calls are usually returned within a day, and prospective clients can ask that a call be returned at a specific time, if necessary.

 

The John J. Fox Funeral Home works closely with numerous churches and synagogues in the region. Some of these include the Larchmont Temple, St. Augustine Church, the Saints John & Paul Catholic Church, Larchmont Avenue Presbyterian, St. John’s Episcopal, Beth Emeth Synagogue, Holy Family Church, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Saint Vito’s Church, Holy Trinity, Blessed Sacrament, and St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, as well as other religious and faith-based establishments in New York City and Westchester, Connecticut.
